2 methods
Cold infusion
Ingredients for 1 liter of iced tea:
- Your favorite tea
- 1 liter of cold water
Preparation
The amount and steeping time vary depending on the type of tea. You will find specific preparation instructions for each of our teas under its respective section on our website.
Brewing should always be done in cold water, at room temperature or in the refrigerator. The tea or herbs can be left loose in the water.
Add the amount of tea to 1 liter of cold water and let it steep for the specified time.
For example, for our Vine Peach green tea, we recommend 2 tablespoons for 1 liter of cold water and a steeping time of 2 hours.
If you're making iced tea with fresh herbs, add a good handful of leaves, stems removed (as they are bitter), to 1 liter of cold water and let it steep for about 5 hours.
The flavor obtained with this method will be better than with a hot, cooled infusion! As the tea cools, it oxidizes, takes on a dark color, and becomes bitter or astringent. However, with a cold infusion, the color remains beautiful and the infusion is light and very refreshing!
Once the infusion time is up, strain the tea through a small milk strainer. There's no need to sweeten it.
We recommend drinking your iced tea within 24 hours.
